New York City Spring Break Trip
Saturday, March 23 – Monday, March 25
During our spring break groups of both students and staff took a trip to beautiful New York City. Everyone met at our high school campus and then boarded a charter bus to New York City. Upon arriving to the city the group proceeded to Central Park where they explored the area taking pictures and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Following Central Park everyone headed to the infamous Times Square, which is a major commercial intersection, tourist destination, entertainment center and neighborhood in the Midtown Manhattan section of New York City. Sunday started with a boat tour of the Statue of liberty and visited the World Trade Center Memorial where they paid their respects to those who lost their lives during 9/11. In addition they visited the Rockefeller Center, a large complex consisting of 19 commercial buildings covering 22 acres. On Monday, as everyone made their way back to Horizon, they visited Penn State University where they toured the school and also enjoyed lunch.
