Veterans Day Ceremony

Veterans Day Ceremony

-Monday, November 12

On Monday November 12th,  Army JROTC members held a special Veterans day ceremony for students and staff. The JROTC members presented the Color Guard followed by a listing of Veterans Day facts. Both Adriana Mccord and Raundre Vanzant  gave a background of what Veterans Day is and why we honor it. Today the military men and women who serve and protect our country come from all walks of life and are made up of parents, brothers, sisters, grandparents, friends, coworkers and are important to their communities. There was a playing of the National Anthem as well as others songs. To finish off the Ceremony Adriana and Raundre read and acted in the MIA/POW remembrance ceremony. It was a way to symbolize the fact that members of the military profession of arms are missing from our midst.
