The US Army JROTC Program hosted Veterans Day at HSA on November 7, 2012. Our Color Guard opened the ceremony by presenting the colors while Malika Turner sang the National Anthem. Our special guests included keynote speaker Lieutenant Colonel David P. Barlet from the Cleveland Recruiting Battalion, Command Sergeant Major Mathis, Mr. William Willoughby Senior, who is the Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army, 1SG Charles Nikic, SFC Custer, Mr. Ander Pettis, Mr. Norman Beaver, Mr and Mrs Powers, 1SG Duane Schrier, SSG Terrell Garr and Ms. Marie Haberstroh.
The Drill Team headed by Cadet Major Michael Huff amazed the crowd with the Drill Team routine. Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Dominic Holutiak presented all our Veterans a US Army JROTC Certificate of Appreciation and a US Army JROTC Coin to honor them for their dedicated service to our Nation. A special thank you to SFC Custer and SSG Garr form the US Army Ohio National Guard who provided refreshments for our event.
